Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Buqsy platform. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of a business ('you'), and Buqsy ('we', 'us', or 'our'), concerning your access to and use of the Buqsy platform and associated services.
By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any part of our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Services. By using Buqsy, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Buqsy provides an online booking platform that allows barbers and hair professionals ('Barbers') to create a booking page and accept appointments from their clients ('Clients'). Our Services include:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any significant changes where possible.
Buqsy is a platform provider only. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any services provided by Barbers to Clients. Any disputes regarding appointments or services rendered are between the Barber and Client directly.
To use Buqsy, you must register for an account. You agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or are used for fraudulent purposes.
Buqsy offers the following subscription plans:
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
We offer a 14-day free trial on all plans. No payment details are required during the trial period. At the end of the trial, you will be asked to provide payment details to continue using the Services.
Where an early access offer of one free month is available, this will be applied to the first billing cycle following the trial period. This offer is limited, non-transferable, and may be withdrawn at any time.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email. Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
As a Barber using Buqsy, you agree to:
Buqsy does not verify the professional qualifications or insurance status of Barbers. Clients use the platform to book Barbers at their own discretion.
As a Client using Buqsy to book appointments, you agree to:
Buqsy reserves the right to suspend Client accounts that repeatedly miss appointments, submit false reviews, or misuse the platform.
You may not use Buqsy to:
Violation of any of the above may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
The Buqsy platform, including its design, code, branding, logo, copy, and all associated content, is owned by Buqsy and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our express written permission.
By uploading content to Buqsy (such as photos, service descriptions, or profile information), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Services.
You retain all ownership rights to any content you upload. You confirm that you have the right to upload such content and that it does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using Buqsy, you consent to such processing.
You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you collect from your clients through the platform (such as names, phone numbers, and email addresses) is handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and any other applicable data protection laws. If you are a Barber, you act as a data controller in respect of your clients' data, and Buqsy acts as a data processor on your behalf.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Buqsy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Buqsy is not liable for any disputes between Barbers and Clients, including missed appointments, quality of services rendered, or personal injury arising from any appointment booked through the platform.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Buqsy, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
If a dispute arises between you and Buqsy, we ask that you first contact us at buqsy@buqsy.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter informally. Most issues can be resolved quickly this way.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of your initial contact, either party may refer the matter to binding arbitration. Arbitration shall be conducted in England and Wales in accordance with the rules of a mutually agreed arbitration body. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding on both parties.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Subject to the arbitration clause above, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account from the dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if:
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Any outstanding fees at the time of termination remain payable.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services and cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
